Located at Spa Park in Taupo is the tourist destination, Otumuheke Stream.

 The stream flows from an underground geothermal pocket and travels through to the great Waikato River. At the river mouth is the local watering hole where the hot stream flows into the cold river, best of both worlds. 

 

This site is getting a complete overhaul including a brand new toilet block, a new bridge and a coffee and food kiosk supplied and run by the Maori Trust.
